Privacy Policy

Introduction

Prax is built to be your calm, private space to store memories of the people that matter most to you long after moments pass. Our entire product philosophy centers around one non-negotiable core principle: your data belongs fully to you, and we have no interest in accessing, storing, or sharing it for any reason.

This policy explains how we handle (or rather, do not handle) any information related to your use of the Prax app, aligned with our promise to keep your archive entirely yours.

What Data We Never Collect

All content you create and save in Prax stays stored locally on your device by default. We never collect, transmit, or store any of the following on our servers:

• Persona card content, including uploaded photos, relationship labels, personality tags, and custom biographical notes you add for your connections
• Memory entries, including dates, written stories, attached photos, and timeline records you create
• Linked persona connections, gallery sorting preferences, search history, and filter usage data
• Prompts you create for AI image generation, and any images generated or saved to your Prax library
• Device identifiers, location data, contact lists, or any other personal information stored on your device

We do not run any third-party tracking tools, ad services, or analytics scripts in the Prax app. Your usage of the app is completely invisible to us.

Limited Data We May Receive (Only If You Choose to Share)

The only time we receive any personal information from you is if you voluntarily reach out to our team for support, feature requests, or general inquiries. In these cases, we will only collect:

• Contact information you explicitly provide (such as your email address)
• Any content you choose to include in your message to us

We only use this information to respond directly to your request, and we will never share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. You can request that we delete all records of this correspondence at any time by contacting us at privacy@prax.app.

How Your Data Is Stored

All your Prax archive data is stored exclusively on your personal device, and you retain full control over this data:

• You can edit or delete any persona, memory, or image directly within the app at any time
• Uninstalling the Prax app will permanently delete all Prax data stored on your device
• If you choose to back up your device to a third-party cloud storage service (such as iCloud, Google Drive, or similar), your Prax data may be included in those backups. This data is governed by the privacy policy of your chosen cloud storage provider, and we have no access to or control over these backups.

AI Image Generation Feature

When you use the in-app AI image generation feature, you are choosing to send your prompt text directly to our third-party AI service provider. We do not act as a middleman for these requests, and we do not store copies of your prompts, generated images, or any related data on our systems.

Any data shared with the AI provider during the generation process is governed by the privacy policy of that provider, which you can review directly within the app before using the feature for the first time. Generated images are only saved to your local Prax library unless you choose to export them elsewhere.

Your Control Over Your Data

Since we do not store any of your Prax archive data on our servers, you have full, immediate control over all your content:

• You can export individual personas, memories, or your entire archive at any time through the app's built-in export feature
• You can permanently erase all your Prax data by deleting the app from your device
• If you have previously shared personal information with us via support requests, you can ask us to delete all records of that communication by emailing us at privacy@prax.app.

Children's Privacy

Prax is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from individuals under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our features or operational requirements. When we make updates, we will notify you through an in-app announcement at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect. The most current version of the policy will always be available on our official website.
